Real runners. Personal goals. Progress worth sharing.

With a goal of completing Hyrox Toronto in October 2026, I first visited Dr Liv in February. I wanted to get ahead of a plantar fasciitis issue that had kept me from attempting to run the year before. I had otherwise not run in years.

She started with a full look at how my body moved, especially my foot and knee issues. She had me on the treadmill for gait analysis, then strength testing. From this I got rehab exercises, lifestyle changes, and a plan to ease back into running.

With my lower body ready, I started running outside in April. Over the next several months, my intervals got longer and my feet got stronger. I ran my first 5K. Each week, Liv gave me the next few runs. I never had to wonder if I was moving in the right direction.

As Hyrox got closer, we built on the large base of Zone 2 running. Liv gave me my first "real" run plan: three runs a week, each one building engine, speed, or volume. She added structured speed work and further improved my running form. We worked on my over-striding and cadence.

My results blew me away:
Zone 2:

May 30, I ran 5.2 km at 11:31/km with an average heart rate of 125.
Aug 22, I ran 6.01 km at 10:00/km with an average of 124.
1.5 minutes per km faster at the same heart rate, over a longer run.

5K:
Jul 3, I ran 33:47, at 6:44/km.
Aug 15, I ran 30:24, at 6:04/km.
Sep 25, I ran 25:59, at about 5:12/km.
7:48 faster in 12 weeks.

My long runs got longer too. I even have a few 10 km runs on record now!

On October 2, I finished my first Hyrox Men's Open Doubles in 1:27:11, under my 90-minute goal.

I put in the work, but Liv was there every step of the way. She removed the doubt about whether I was doing this right.

Whether you’re just starting out, or chasing a PB - there’s no better option, she’s the real deal (just check her Strava!). AND she knows how to coach. Thanks Liv, these numbers wouldn’t have been possible without you!

After tearing my meniscus and ACL, I had been told my running days were behind me. Last January, I decided to give it another try and signed up for my first-ever half marathon. At that point, the furthest I had ever run was 10K, and I couldn't even imagine running 21K.

Liv helped me build a realistic training plan and set an achievable goal. She guided me through everything from nutrition and fueling to footwear, recovery, and making sure I wasn't pushing too hard. Her background as a chiropractor was also incredibly helpful when injuries came up during training.

I completed my first half marathon in May and immediately signed up for another in October — where I shaved five minutes off my time. Liv continues to encourage and guide me, and I honestly could not have done it without her in my corner.
